Camp Evangelist
Rev
Steve Jones has
preached the gospel and taught principles of Christian Leadership in
nearly a dozen countries on five continents. He has served as a
church planter and a pastor. Pastorates included Kalamazoo
Missionary Church and First Missionary Church, Fort Wayne, IN.
Currently he serves at the Central District Superintendent,
responsible for Missionary Churches in Indiana, Illinois &
Wisconsin. Jones has written numerous articles for magazines as
diverse as Discipleship Journal, Ideals Magazine, Emphasis on Faith
and Living, The Missionary Church Today, etc. Jones holds a B.A.
from Spring Arbor College, and a M.Div. from Asbury Theological
Seminary. He and his wife, Sue have four children
Camp Evangelist
Rev.
Joel DeSelm has
served as senior pastor at Woodburn Missionary Church in Woodburn,
IN, for the past 21 years. He has a Bachelor's degree from Ball
State University and Masters Degrees from both Indiana University
and Huntington University. He has served as an online professor for
Taylor University for over 20 years and also teaches in the graduate
program at Bethel College. He has co-authored three devotional books
and speaks extensively throughout the U.S. and overseas. Joel writes
a popular column on the back cover of "Missionary Church Today"
magazine.
Camp Evangelist
Dr.
Bob Laurent has
been speaking full-time all over the world since 1968. As president
of Good News Circle, Inc. for over ten years, he spoke in hundreds
of high school assemblies, colleges, prisons, street meetings and
churches. Bob has been the keynote speaker at hundreds of national &
regional conferences since 1972. He has served as chapel speaker for
several major league baseball teams and has authored many popular
books. Bob attended Millikin University, Judson College, Northern
Baptist Theological Seminary and has a Ph.D. in religious education
from Andrews University. Currently, Bob is Vice-President and Dean
of the Graduate School at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana. He
and his beloved wife, Joyce, still live in the Midwest and remain
close to their four children.
Camp Evangelist
Dr.
Marcus Warner is
the president of Deeper Walk International, a ministry that trains
people to do the work of heart-focused discipleship. He has served
as a Bible teacher at Bethel College and as a pastor. Marcus travels
and teaches seminars on emotional healing, spiritual warfare, and
discipleship foundations. He has earned degrees from Fort Wayne
Bible College and from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. The
author of four books, he lives in Noblesville, Indiana with his wife
Brenda (Schlabach) and their two children.
Worship
We
are blessed to have
Rev. Jon & Jodi Sherry serving this
year as our worship leaders. The Sherrys have extensive experience
leading worship in churches and at camps. Jon has a degree in church
music from Bethel College and has served on staff at several
Missionary Churches. Jon currently serves as senior pastor of the
Open Door Missionary Church in Sandusky, MI. You will appreciate
their passion for worship as they lead and share their musical
talents.

The Collingsworth Family
will share a special inspirational concert of
music & worship Saturday, July 31 at 7:00 PM in the Eastman Tabernacle.
They have been performing before audiences for over 20 years. Their
constant, persistent attention to cutting-edge arranging, musical
excellence, and a proper balance of spiritual emphasis are the keys to
their God-given success. The Collingsworth Family, at the personal
invitation of Bill & Gloria Gaither, has appeared on the Homecoming
Series which was filmed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.

Senior
High
Todd Perkins is our senior high
speaker this year. Todd has been in full-time youth ministry for
more than 17 years. He has been pastor of student ministries ranging
in size from 10 to 1,200 students. Todd lives in Orlando, FL, with
his wife, Cindy, and two children, Breanna & Malachi. His passion to
reach teens has led him to begin a youth ministry consulting
business for smaller churches. Todd grew up attending Brown City
Camp with his family and is an Ordained Elder in the Church of the
Nazarene.
Junior
High
Rev. Mike Cain is this year’s junior high
youth speaker.
Mike is an
ordained minister in the Missionary Church and serves as Associate
Pastor of Lake Missionary Church in Angola, IN. Mike has been a
youth pastor for many years and has a passion for reaching and
discipling students. He and his wife, Kathleen, live in Pleasant
Lake, IN
CHILDREN’S WORKERS
Heather
Marshall
directs the
daily 10:00 AM program for the 2 and 3-year old children in the
Sonshine Tabernacle (the old cafeteria). Heather is from the Lamotte
Missionary Church. Marcy Wagley
from the
Colonial Woods Missionary Church, Port Huron, and
Marcy McClellard
from Trinity
Missionary Church in Yale will share the nightly program for this
group at 7:00 PM.
Mary
Lou Pearson
leads the
daytime program for children ages 4 through kindergarten at the
Ferguson Tabernacle next to the playground. Mary Lou is a member of
the Colonial Woods Missionary Church in Port Huron, MI. She and her
husband, Mark, have two sons.
Rod
Snow
is the special
children’s work for the first through sixth graders on August 1 and
2. Rod is a full-time chalk artist and ventriloquist. He has
ministered to children at churches, schools, and camps throughout
the United States.
Paul
and Jessica Dietzel
are always a
favorite with the kids.
This camp they
will serve both the Primary and Juniors (first—sixth graders)
beginning Monday, August 3. The Dietzels travel throughout America
sharing God’s love via music, chalk art and high-energy Gospel
presentations. The kids will love participating as they learn more
about Jesus.
